چکیده

The area of nanotechnology encompasses the synthesis of nanoscale materials, the understanding and the utilization of their physicochemical and optoelectronic properties, and the organization of nanoscale structures into predefined superstructures. The development of biologically inspired experimental processes for the synthesis of nanoparticles is evolving into an important branch of nanotechnology. Nanotechnology has recently emerged as an elementary division of science and technology that investigates and regulates the interaction at cell level between synthetic and biological materials with the help of nanoparticles. A wide range clean, nontoxic and eco-friendly synthesis of nanoparticles is an important aspect of current nanotechnology. Microbial synthesis of nanoparticles is a Green chemistry approach that interconnects nanotechnology and microbial biotechnology. Microorganisms play an important role in the eco-friendly synthesis of metal nanoparticles. This study illustrates the synthesis of CdS nanoparticles using the bacteria of Enterobacteriaceae ( Escherichia coli PTCC 1533 and Klebsiella pneumonia PTCC 1053) after 96 h of incubation at room temperature (30oc) and pH 9. The morphology of the samples was analyzed using Scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The size of CdS nanoparticles in aqueous solution has been calculated using UV–Vis spectroscopy, XRD, FTIR, EDS and SEM measurements. The nanoparticles are found to be polydisperse in the size range 5–200 nm.

Synthesis, optical and structural characterization of CdS nanoparticles

Cadmium sulfide nanoparticles were grown using wet chemical method by dissolving the reactants of cadmium acetate and sodium sulfide in the presence of thioglycerol (TG) as capping agent in ethanol solvent. Different nanoparticle sizes and size distribution were obtained through varying the molarities of thioglycerol. At higher TG concentration, synthesis provides a nearly monodisperse nanopart...

New Azo-Schiff Base Ligand Capped Silver and Cadmium Sulfide Nanoparticles Preparation, Characterization, Antibacterial and Antifungal Activities

A novel azo-Schiff base ligand (L) was prepared by reacting 2-hydroxy-5-(pyridine-4-yldiazenyl) benzaldehyde with 1,2-phenylenediamine. Moreover, Silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) and Cadmium sulfide nanoparticles (CdS-NPs) were prepared by employing azo-Schiff base ligand (L) as capping and reducing agent. The solid-state fluorescence spectroscopy was used to investigate the interaction between L ...

Synthesis and Characterization of Cadmium-Thioacetamide Nanocomposites Using a Facile Sonochemical Approach: A precursor for Producing CdS Nanoparticles via Thermal Decomposition

In this investigation, we report facile synthesis of cadmium(II)-thioacetamide nanocomposites in the presence and absence of polyvinyl alcohol under ultrasonic irradiations, using cadmium acetate dihydrate (Cd(CH3COO)2.2H2O), potassium iodide (KI), thioacetamide (TAA, CH3CSNH2), and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as the starting materials. Results show that in the presence of polyvinyl alcohol size...
